Essence Silky Touch Blush & Sun Club Highlighter {Beauty Review}

blog1

Over the holiday’s I tried out two new Essence products and I just had to tell you about them! The one is a silky touch blush in Life’s a cherry and the other a Essence Sun club all in one bronzing highlighter in Sun Light.

I found these two to be a great combo and for the amazing price you just cant go wrong.

The silky touch blush is a warm pink color with orange and coral undertones and it glides on like a dream. The packaging is fuss free and really simple but quite sturdy as it received some beating in my handbag and makeup bag throughout the holiday’s and didn’t break (I cant say the same about some high end brands!) The blush is super pigmented and a little goes a long way so remember to apply it with a very light hand especially if you have a lighter skin tone. This shade will probably look the best on darker skins though as it might be too bright otherwise.

At first I was impressed by the pretty colors and the great smell of the all in one bronzing highlighter but when I applied it I felt like it didnt really do anything. I was however not using it right by the look of things and now I have figured it out with great results. I use the lighter side at the top of my cheek bones blending it in with the blush and then I take some of the darker shade and use it over my blush to give it that MAC MSF type finish. Its not too shimmery and just gives a subtle pretty glow. Both of these products also last the whole day on skin with the help of some setting powder.

Have you tried these products? What do you think? :)

Both of these are available from Clicks in Canal Walk

    It’s always good to experiment with products and find the best way to use it! I wish we could get Essence more easily where I live, I hear such good things! xx
